Quepos, Costa Rica
Quepos is located in the Puntarenas Province in Costa Rica. The city is popular among tourists for its numerous bars and restaurants as well as a vivacious nightlife. The city also attracts tourists because of the beaches and the rainforests. The best time to visit Puerto Quepos is from December to April with a special notice for February when the Festival del Mar, a month long party that features concerts, sporting events, parades and a street carnival with dancers from across the country, is held. Tourism is now the area's leading employer as Quepos evolves from its banana growing roots into a premier holiday destination. Many visitors enjoy the relaxing village lifestyle and natural beauty of nearby Manuel Antonio: a lush blanket of tropical green spills headlong onto several hidden and incredibly beautiful, jungle-lined beaches.
