GFLSCI MEMBERSHIP REFERAL PROGRAM 

 The  purpose of this program is to increase membership.  It is also to reward and encourage our current members to spread the word about Sister Cities in order to help us get new members.  You can help build your global network of industry professionals and earn prizes in the process!

CONTEST RULES

1. Only GFLSCI members who are current in their membership dues can participate.
2. The member who has the most number of referrals who become members will win a prize. (a referral, alone, does not give you credit, they must become a member in order for you to get the credit)
3. Regular individual or family memberships are equivalent to 1 referral.
4. Corporate Memberships are equivalent to 5 referrals.
5. This program will begin August 27, 2009 and end December 31, 2009.
6. The referred Member must include the referring Member's name in the "referred by" section on the membership application or when joining on line.
7. Referrals cannot be shared or transferred.
8. Referrals for existing Members and Membership renewals are not eligible.
9. Referrals for event attendees that pay for their membership at an event are not eligible unless you specifically brought that individual to the event. (In other words, you can't just put a person down as your referral because you are sitting at the membership table at the event and happened to be taking their information)
10. Discounted memberships such as student memberships or honorary memberships do not qualify for referral points.
11. Members will receive periodic emails with a summary of referred individuals who have joined as a result of their efforts.

PRIZES and REWARDS

We will present prizes to the winners at our annual meeting in January. 

Recruit 10 or more new members and receive a $100.00 cash prize, your photo on our website, recognition in our newsletter and recognition at our annual meeting.  

Recruit  6 - 9 new members and receive an honorary membership for yourself in 2010, recognition in our newsletter and recognition at our annual meeting. 

Recruit  3 - 5 new members and receive a $25.00 gift certificate toward admission to your next sister cities event, recognition in our newsletter and recognition at our annual meeting.. 

Recruit 1 member and receive a surprise gift, recognition in our newsletter & recognition at our annual meeting.

Tips for Referrals

• Encourage your colleagues and peers to join and gain the opportunity to network with industry professionals.
• Hand out Membership brochures.
• Invite colleagues and peers to our events.
• Host a party at your house and invite co-workers and friends then review the benefits of Membership.
• Email your colleagues or peers a personal note inviting them to join you in Sister Cities Membership.
• Send "a group" invitation from our GFLSCI Facebook page.
• Follow up, it will make a difference in weather your colleagues and peers become members.
